After today's test, I realized (with some help of course), that I gave an invalid test. Everything was related to the content, but the nature of the questions was not reflective of the material. I have therefore decided to invalidate the previous test altogether and issue a new and MUCH more valid test on Wednesday. It is probably just as well due to the inordinate amount of sickness these past two weeks.
I sincerely apologize for this, and will give a brief overview to the students tomorrow. Sleep well.
Can I still know my grade on todays test? I studied very hard and felt like I did Good.
ReplyDeleteis it not possible to just throw out the parts that were not reflective? A lot of time and effort went into studying for this test. Now we have other assignments and test to complete this week and now have to find time for this new test, there has to be a better solution than throwing it out all together. I just don't understand how we are just figuring this test wasn't reflective
ReplyDeleteWell, to make a long story short, the new test will be far more refelctive of the notes rather than the software used to generate the test. I would rather give a valid test and reward the students for what they learned rather than just throw out some parts, as I do need to see what they studied and how well they studied.
